Overview

As discussed on pages 5 and 6 of this Chronological History, among the tasks accomplished in writing this Chronological History was preparing a large electronic archive that includes (among other documents) Appendices and Supplements concerning legislative history, acid soil, and some State Soil Conservation Committee (Committee) minutes; the Committee’s 1972, 1974, 1982, and 1987 Standards for Soil Erosion and Sediment Control in New Jersey; other Committee and New Jersey Department of Agriculture (NJDA) documents; the 1973 South Branch Watershed Association Municipal Handbook; and the 1974 Camden County Soil Conservation District (SCD) Regulations for Control of Soil Erosion and Sedimentation.  The authors of this Chronological History thank the NJDA and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) for providing, in paper or electronically, many of the documents in this archive, and thank the Raritan Headwaters Association for granting permission to include in this archive the above-mentioned Municipal Handbook.  In addition, the authors of this Chronological History thank the New Jersey Association for Floodplain Management (NJAFM) for hosting this archive on the NJAFM webpage.
